Distance 120 Km. Mostly hilly terrain, fine and smooth motor-able road. It takes 3 to 4 hrs to reach Shimla from Chandigarh.

Departure from Chandigarh direct for Shimla, must visit en-route to PINJORE GARDEN- very famous Mugal Garden, situated in Haryana. There you can enjoy Amusement Park, Camel Safari and many more just at the entrance of Mugal Garden. Then reach Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pardesh. Shimla was founded in 1819 AD. Shimla was declared as Summer capital of the British Empire in 1864 by Viceroy John Lawerence. Walk on The Ridge, Mall Road – Shimla’s main artery which extends the whole length of the town east to west, a typical English kind of a shopping lane with purely colonial type of architecture. You can do shopping of the local Tweeds, Shawls, Jams & Squashes, Himachal caps, Wooden Items at Lower Bazaar, Lakkar Bazaar and Tibetan Market. Other places in Shimla for visit are Library, Christ Church – second oldest church of North India, Gaiety Theatre.
